Hi Chip,

Sounds like a great trip.

How far is that from you or where is it?

4054 ft @ summit - pretty and long view at the top.

The first couple of years Elk hunting in Colorado I'd climb a mountain and forget the hunt.GG

I love the view.

If climbing there does one have to be mindful of going up and down the same way?

Worst trouble I ever got into was going down differently and getting hung up on a cliff that I could climb up out of.

Had to take a wild slide down a very steep rock surface - smooth wore a hole in my hunting pants and soiled my jockies<smile>.

When hunting Moose in Alaska there is a dormant volcano that is totally ice and glaciers. It makes its own weather - usually surrounded by clouds. One huge storm came in a blew 70 mph gusts all night .That next morning was the only time in 20 days I saw the entire mountain - AWESOME.

Would be a very challenging climb.I doubt many have ever stepped foot on it.

Chiginagak a stratovolcano 1600 meters with large fumaroles on North flank.

Last active:1852,1929,and 1971.Wish I had a picture for you.

Lets have a good day today - we need one at these levels of support.

Bob
