first we had caremark and i expect it was start up problems, poor screen designs etc. Bad system for new prescriptions, had to go to doctor for new prescription and then mail it into them.

Hmmmm. I've been with Medco for years. Yes, they do a great job. My carrier just switched to Caremark effective today. I sure hope they've gotten their act together.

John, my experience has been far worse then yours. To begin with my doctors office REFUSES to fax OR CALL in an order for me. The nurses EXACT RESPONSE when I was nearly out was THATS NOT OUR JOB ITS YOURS. If my doctor wasnt so good I would have FIRED HER on the spot. I doubt its the doctors thinking but I know she relies on this pretend nurse. My wife A REAL NURSE hates this woman cause she feels she is UNCARING of patients. Next the mail order pharmacy will use ANY EXCUSE it can think of to cancel your prescription. See my other post on this subject. I never had any problem when I could fill my prescriptions at COSTCO. Once they had the prescription I could CALL IN to refill and pick it up when we where otherwise shopping, no wait unless I wanted to wait. jdn

Thought I'd report in on my experience with Caremark, which started on Saturday. No, things haven't improved. You're very lucky to be with Medco.

It took me a couple of hours and four calls over two day to customer service, two return calls from a customer service supervisor, and one call to their IT guy before I managed find someone who knew something so I could get registered and find my prescription history. No, they still don't handle prescription renewals for you like Medco does. They don't even offer envelopes for sending in prescriptions. You have to print out a form.

Having finally registered, I thought I would send them a bug report for two bugs I discovered in my travels but today their system is down.

I wonder how long the my carrier's %#$@! contract with Caremark lasts...
