Not too much of a surprise. Initially it wasn't known just had bad it really was.

And the comment by Egeland about the generousity of the western world (including the US & Europe) had its impact.

What I also like about it, is that for the first time since 9/11 we stopped talking/thinking in terms of us and them. Hope this attitude gets a follow up in the coming years.
