I've seen people from both sides of the political spectrum claiming to make contributions and asking the other "side" to fess up to what they've contributed.

This shouldn't be attributed to me. Perhaps you should direct your comments to the original poster?

Libs haven't shut up about anything else they feel strongly about. Maybe they don't feel very compelled to contribute to charity? Otherwise I would expect to see and hear more about the subject. Why hasn't Springsteen or his peers put together an earthquake aid concert?

They have found themselves in a whole heap of trouble regarding their politics. Let's hope they have learned their lesson, and that the silence regarding charitable contributions to the people that have experienced the disaster in SE Asia is a signal.
