Manners have nothing to do with the libs demanding the US government donate TAXPAYERS dollars for relief, all the while sitting on their wallets..

Give from your own piggy bank, before you break into mine!

This isn't a political issue, it's a manners issue-

I agree...and I'll believe your sentiments are sincere just as soon as I see you take issue with all the other FALs who have been bashing Bush and the US as being "stingy"....a claim which is at substantial variance with reality....

I only have one question: Where are the Hollywood and artistic elites i.e. musicians, poets, painters, actors, philanthropists when aid to the poor and suffering people of SE Asia is an obvious need? They have the means and opportunity to show how benevolent they are and all I hear is silence. (haven't checked the news for a few days, maybe they have by now?)

People come in all stripes and colors with different backgrounds and customs even right here in the US. I don't go about advertising what I give, but that's just me. (I did disclose that I gave on another thread to a person I know, have met and become good friends with)

We all know what you think about the subject of whether it's rude to talk about charitable giving but don't forget, this isn't about you. And I don't believe I've made this political? If wrong, please point out where I did so.

I think you should start a "manners thread" since this seems to be the issue that most excites you.
