Just for the record, the answer is YES.

I understand that Bush agreed with Laura to forgive Teresa's catty remark that she (Laura) had never had a real job.

Bush should not have encouraged Laura to be so kind.

I will not defend his:

1. Spending

2. Tolerance of illegal immigration

3. Failure to use the bully pulpit on energy.

I found nothing in kerry to comfort me on any of the above. I know - spending - when jfk looked in the camera and promised not to raise taxes on people making less than $200k he lost any miniscule credibility he ever had. Frankly, an honest liberal - proud of their positions - would have done much better. The flip flop charge was very accurate.
