Has there ever been a society which has died of DISSENT? Several have died of conformity in our lifetime. Jacob Bronowski If you do not allow people to criticize the President, then we are no longer in a free country. And yes the people in the US do have the right to "descent"- but unfortunately they will descend further and further into a fake democracy if the right to dissent is stifled. And yes, dissent on everything is what lets you know you are in a democracy. You want conformity? Try communism, fascism, or several of the other less palatable isms. I'll take messy democracy and dissent any day of the week.
