kb, both - IE and Firefox browsers - have now pop-killer capability built in. Which do you use?

Hi Kb -

1) Load the free Firefox browser from Mozilla. You will have to select to add realplayer, adobe , etc.

Much less (100:1) susceptible to attack than Micfrosoft's Internet explorer, works the same 99.8% of the time, especially oin major comercail sites.

Use the firefox browser 99% of the time,except when you need to download software from microsoft.

This REALLY cuts the attacks.

2) get Ad-aware from Lavasoft. This has to be paid for, but that means it gets updated about ever 6 weeks (or sooner) to keep up with new threats.

Run the anti-spyware, then an anti-virus, then the anti-spyware again. Some spyware will turn off or short cycle your anti-virus software....

3) Consider a hardware firewall.
