I like Ken, and have always thought his moderation was excellent. If you were banned by him I'm pretty sure you deserved it. Banning is American. Ever heard of free association? Freedom doesn't mean much if you have to put up with every annoying twit who wants to talk to you. That's why people can't just walk in your house. You have a right to invite over only people you want to see. On SI, a private business, you also have the right to invite to your thread only the people you want to talk to. Freedom of speech only applies to government entities trying to shut you up. Some people see SI as some sort of extension of governmental private space. That's an odd way to look at a private business, imo.

Wow! Len Grasso. It is so nice to see you stopping by Feelies. Welcome! Having become a vegan awhile ago, I've really enjoyed reading Vegetarians Unite. Best of luck with that thread, and please hang out here any time. We discuss vegan/vegetarian/animal rights issues too sometimes. I printed out a lentil and spinach recipe that you posted--you are doing good work over there! Of course I am such an SI addict that I have not actually cooked anything in weeks, but I am sure your recipe is delicious. ;-)
