<GWB could intervene> US citizens are in dear need a dose of reality. Flashing just like that "GWB could intervene". If we just: How exaclty? For what purpose? Show me what it gain with this 'intervention'. With what? There's no money. The US has taken over from Britain the policying of the world as the world needs one. These are conventional wisdom that doesn't stand closer scrutiny. And past experience has shown that the US has tried to 'police' very small countries and weaker countries. It has no means whatsoever to 'police' any medium country unless joined by a large number of other countries and someone else (Saudi Arabia) footing the bill as the Desert Storm has shown. The US is running the risk of some country (iran is a case in point)standing up and saying: "Come on! Come police me if you can!" Show me your best shot!" And the US has to put its tail between its legs and back down.
