I'm fixated on Iraq? Given the precise direction of W's post-9/11 response, where from that day onward a war in Iraq was his #1 objective, I find that particular characterization of "fixation" maybe the biggest irony I've come across here. And there's been a lot of irony on this thread, where "war is peace" pronouncements have been a longtime fixture.

Clarke deals in a lot of hypotheticals. W's mess in Iraq is here and now. The damage is real, and there's no indication I can see that any but a select few of W's faithful are willing to admit there's a problem.
