Terrorism is a serious problem -- and we want to end it. Now, how do you do that? That is the question. We can kill everybody who is a terrorist, or looks like a terrorist, or lives in a neighborhood with terrorists, or who has ever know a terrorist, or who has a name that sounds similar to somebody who is a terrorist, or somebody who belongs to a religion that terrorists sometimes belong to, or anybody who ever said anything that sound disloyal and therefore might indicate that the person might become a terrorist -- etc., etc. etc.

But killing does not get you very far -- and you kill alot of innocent people. We invaded Iraq where terrorism was not a major problem, and we killed a lot of innocent people, and now we have terrorism coming out of ears in Iraq. Killing people feeds terrorism and does not get at its roots.
