I guess the big question now is whether AMD can increase CPG revenues enough in 2005 to pay for fab 36

They have a mountain of debt to pay off before they begin to pay for that fab.

what i think is interesting is that fab36 and Intel f12 are on a fairly even build schedule. Both fabs just started moving in first tools. What makes it interesting is that Intel actually has a process to transfer and can start tool quals for 65nm. I think the differences between

1. AMD 130nm 200mm process
2. IBM 90nm 300mm process

are to great for the fab to startup on 90nm. I think the construction is out of sync with available process.

Fab 36 financing is already secured.

Of course, if they start bleeding red ink the covenents may change. Hmm, why would it be in Intel's interest for AMD to bleed red ink? I'm sure that they are an innocent bystander!

Was anything said on the CC re. flash margins or profitability? Were any Q's asked and were they answered or sidesteped?
