First time post here on LU. Back in November I received a warning that Agere was going to sell all of the Lucent stock plan in my 401K starting December 1st and they warned that the stock will go down saying that was normal. Needless to say but I sold all my shares in November. We all know this is going nowhere fast and because of this it is dead money. I also sold all my ESPP Lucent shares. I did keep my Agere hoping that they would go up a few cents which they did.

I lost so much on Lucent, the 50 cents is nothing compared to what happened to all of the 401K and ESPP shares. The options were also worthless except for the ones Russo gets.

You know I agree. I am neck deep in Lucent stock... Ok Ok - so I loaded up at $.75... I also rode some down into the dirt back in 2000... LU has a fantastic mobility future. Firing on all cylinders for services too... It will be interesting to watch execution wrt VoIP/Telica. Wireline business isn't a slam dunk. When your access business is about 1/7th of Alcatel's something's not right... I'm hoping for a FTTH miracle... with an organic LU product... There are rumors.

Looks like the old Cascade business has transformed successfully to an MPLS solution. Good interworking features with Juniper... Optical's no slouch. I have heard of new contracts for LU's DMX and Unite products. I'll be all ears during tomorrow morning's conference call...
