Bush knew all along it was a scam. I'm sorry we pulled this whole "Where's Waldo?" routine and wasted a lot of money on it. Iraq was about raw aggression and flexing our muscles. Unfortunately, we showed small countries that we have muscles and will kick sand in their faces, so they are busily seeking alternatives. In the old days, they would simply sign on to the Soviet protection racket, but that game has disappeared. So far, China seems disinclined to provide an umbrella for countries outside its immediate sphere of influence, so the smaller countries will have to breed more terrorists for their own safety and sense of self-determination.
