Sounds plausible, though they might be more subject to breakdown by other substances in serum than antibodies are. Anyhow, Quake runs a private microfluidics company called Fluidigm. Giving Caliper a run for its money. Haven't seen an S-1 yet. Protein chips such as Ciphergen's are working in this area, but Heath is definitely talking another order of magnitude smaller, and perhaps more sensitive. Leroy Hood and Quake are both highly respected.
