China Daily, Japan think tank to hold forum Friday, January 14, 2005 at 07:16 JST TOKYO — China's major English-language newspaper China Daily and Japanese think tank Genron NPO said Thursday they will jointly hold a symposium in Beijing in July to discuss misunderstandings and obstacles in Sino-Japanese relations. "It is necessary for representatives from both sides to meet, debate and exchange ideas as there have been rather few opportunities to do so until now," said Zhang Ping, president of China Daily's Internet edition.
