We'll just need to hear confirmation of this on the CC Wensday. Would love to see them start moving up the WCDMA total from 55M.

I'm guessing that they wont yet start moving that number up. The numbers for the 4th quarter look good but we arent anywhere near the 14 million handsets a quarter average that we would need to get to the yearly total.

From the numbers, it looks like somewhere between 5.5 to 6 million W-CDMA handsets were sold to consumers during the quarter. The wild card, as it is going to be for the entire year, is the amount of inventory that was built up during the quarter. How many handsets did VOD need to start stocking their sales channel? Unfortunately, I dont know of any solid way to get this number.

My WAG is something around 8 million units for the quarter...but I'm not sure if I am being overly aggressive on the inventory front.
