Yes, a wonderful problem indeed. You sort of have to wonder where all the aid money is going, though. It seems like there is so much, and the kind of redevelopment that will have to occur is overwhelmingly complicated. I hope the money is well spent, and not just squandered. And that some of it doesn't end up funding terrorism or something.

I have read reports of food just stuck at distribution drop-off points and not getting to the people who need it, or soldiers in one country over there selling it (the soldiers themselves are very badly paid).

I stopped watching the tsunami news at the point where each of the stations developed their own theme music and computer graphics, and started running tsunami specials. I find that kind of coverage revolting, and just milking it, basically. So I don't really know the current status of anything that is happening in South Asia. I hope people are getting food and medical care!
