I'm well aware of that. But who controls the country?? Long term, I suspect that Jordan will be a Palestinian state. I can well imagine that 20% of the country is not keen on that.


The King and the Mukhabarat, like other Arab countries. The current king is making some stabs at democratic reform, we'll see if they mean anything. But the point is, when the population is 80% Palestinian already, another percentage point here or there isn't going to make much difference.
