Rosie & gang.. We (Hung, Yen and I) have been working with the provincial government in the Da Lat area, to get NGO status. Hung has been in many, many meetings lately.. These people's logic is unbelievable..they have granted us NGO status, allowing us to work in almost any minority village, with one caveat..no foreigner is to come visit the villages, including myself or project sponsors. I have to think that we will eventually work through this, but it is a near term disappointment....the timing is amazing, we have project sponsor who is showing up today to visit the village where they sponsored a well. Today,I just have been geting the warning of Government, that foreiner can`t come into villages of minority! My homelad has had theses problems with minoryty,extramist,religion,refuges,coruption,HIV,jobless...Minority is bigest master (their biggest problem).And Ta Nang is hotest area;Where Chuck&Cheryl Kline (project sponsors) suppoeted in province Many foreiners were pussed out,when they want to visit montangager (Montagnards).all of minority`s villages have had securities problems;many extramists are in there! Yes,It`s OK when we help them,everything.But they don`t want sponsors return for visiting. Sometime,I feel uncomfortable much. Scott you can tell to sponsors about,Let`s make they know how hard into villages. About me,I always try to show them their wells.
