LOL. Give us some verifiable facts, DP. Start with the per-pupil expenditures in NYC, DC, and LA, f'er instance.

But in the schools I have seen, parents have to slog so much (in addition to their jobs).

The statistics I have seen accentuate one single truth: The more parent involvement the higher the achievement of the children for that district ... 100% of the time.

"If the school had a little money, someone could be hired to do some of those things."

100% of the time, that has been the attitude of parents who don't get involved and who raise bratty children who contribute little or nothing positive to society as adults.
