Do we have any hard data that Smithfield performance will suck?

As far as heat goes, if you accept the wannabmw mantra that 100W is no big deal, I don't see 130 watts for Smithfield as being all that critical. For one, that's only 65 watts per core, which means a smaller DT-junct-to-case, so a higher allowable case temperature, and a corresponding smaller heat sink cuz it can run hotter. If the box makers can live with the 3800 P4, they won't have much trouble adapting to Smithfield.
