The FDR 1945 comparison is a little misinformed - Roosevelt was mostly dead at that point.

The whole kerfuffle does sound rather sour grapesy, though. I can't imagine any of the complaining Democrats doing the same thing to Kedwards had they won.

A Democrat Inauguration Day would have been the same thing: a ridiculously expensive orgy of self-congratulation and partisan triumphalism.

FDR was not in good health and wanted to hide his condition which is tough to do in a ballroom setting, numnutz....no comparison is apt.....dumbass....
