The membership provides the content, which is far more important than the interface. Although, having a nice interface is definitely a big plus. When SI first started charging, many were grandfathered and have never had to pay. Now with new ownership, the model provides for free access to posting, but limits features. In an effort to increase revenue, the new ownership has elected to not only restrict those grandfathered from some new features, but also elected to restrict those of us that paid for lifetime memberships. Personally, I think that was a wrong decision one that might be arguable in court, if someone were so inclined. I believe a better decision would have been to tell all those grandfathered folks that have been using the service for free, that their memberships are going to be reduced to the same level as the new freebie accounts. If they want access to premium features, it is time for them to start paying, while at the same time the new ownership should continue to honor the previous lifetime memberships retaining all the features available to new lifetime memberships. Since I've been asked to leave SI on more than one occasion by not only one of the current owners, but by the current administrator as well, I am sure anything I have to say on the subject is either going to be ignored or deep six’ed...LOL SI is going to have a rough road trying to reclaim its former glory. Policies that indicate a laps in understanding as to why most folks use any message board in the first place will certainly had large pot holes to that road. Message baords are about the content (provided by the membership) and always will be about the content first and foremost, followed closely by the environment regulated by well constructed TOU's, enforced in a fair and unbiased manner. A distant third on the list is the interface no matter how good it may or may not be. IHub is the leader now. While Matt is far from perfect (as are we all), in spite of his youth, he continues to demonstrate an ability to administer a message board in a manner that his seniors should note. LG
