Same in Euros, pounds, or dollars? Just did some quick checks on some remembered fares to Europe business class via British Air and they're the same in pounds and Euros, but the fall in the dollar has affected the price. Not huge, but there.

Looking at your dates, I think we're basically saying the same thing.

In terms of the effects of petroleum prices, clearly the dates selected are going to have that same large affect as currency fluctuation.

LOL you and your friends are the only people left in these dismal markets I take it. Well, invest away! Theres a sucker born every minute.

``The oil market put a damper on things,'' said Robert Drust, managing director of listed trading at Wedbush Morgan Securities in Los Angeles. ``The psychology is, `I'd rather be selling stocks these days instead of jumping in.' January can set the tone'' for the year, he said.

The Dow average has dropped 3.6 percent this year after gaining 3.1 percent in 2004. The benchmark fell 1.6 percent this week, while the Nasdaq slid 2.6 percent. The last time they started a year with three weeks of declines was 1982.

Face it, we have gone from the booming 90s to the seventies economically on the back of Bushs failed war and economic lack of policies. We've lost ALL of last years piddly gains in the dow in the last 3 weeks. Of course you can always lie with statistics and call this a "bull" to apologize for Bush's reelection.
