For anyone interested in a pretty good description of what life-cycle or target-date funds are all about, check out this article:
marketwatch.com{AB3FF28C-CB39-48D9-9903-55AA2C0CAE36}&siteid=myyahoo

This goes back to our discussion about what types of investments should be allowed in any social security personal account. I would advocate these life-cycle funds as one way to limit gambling, and also to limit market risk to what is age appropriate.

I do too. Why should I pay for your kids to go to school, if mine go to private school. I give to charities of my own choice. I don't need you telling me where to give my charitable donations.

I was being facetious....but I think you are serious. School equated to charitable donations. I just don't relate to conservatives. Scary.

Spoken like a true GOPer. Always a touch of narcissism at the bottom of all their complaints. ;~)

Close your eyes...imagine a system in which all people who can afford private school and those who have no children in the school system stop paying school taxes. What's likely to be left for those who can't privatize and still have children in school?
