Borrow and spend is fine! Those born this year are born into a world already built. By loading the debts onto them, they have to work too. We the old geezers built everything and now we should rest on our laurels and the next generation should buy the assets from us. That's done by debt. If the new generation were just handed everything on a plate, they'd just hang around all day being Lotus Eaters and Trustafarians. Debt is a great way of bringing future benefits into the present to be enjoyed by the creators of that wealth which supports the debt. Mqurice
