Of course we do. Science has saved my life. It's saved my husband's life- it's probably even saved your life, maybe more than once.

I am reverent of those things which I am sure sustain my life. I think I would be ungrateful if I was not reverent of those things. I'm also just plain amazed at what science can do- and I am unable to understand how people can contemplate the advances we have made, and not be awed. I never will understand that.

Well, not all scientists. Just those they agree with, in fields they understand and, therefore, consider worthy of being called sciences.

As this is an investment board, and we would presumably have some reverence for things that work, whether economic, social or spiritually, I'd challenge ANYONE to show an endeavor that has provided more benefit to more people or is worthier as a venture than science. All the prayers in the world didn't stop polio or small pox.
