Why is it stupid? Every aptitude test in the country shows that Asians do better at math than Caucasians, and that men do better than women. There is really no argument about that.

No one is disputing the results, the test scores, the numbers.

It is the suggestion of innate differences. There is no science that shows innate differences.

If Asian kids were forced to practise football, basketball, and socializing as much as Causcasians - the test results may be different. But who knows? There are too many variables to be able to conclude there are innate differences.

Let me give you another example.

In Nazi Germany, there were many fine folks in positions of authority that used to speculate on the innate superiority of Aryans versus Jews. There were German scientists who mixed up their personal views and science.

The results were tragic. Many people were hurt. By that I meant just the social aspects of it. For those Jews that had to live through that time. And, I am not talking about the later tragedies.

What is the difference?

Bill,

I think the success of Asians is due to the nature of who from Asia gets here. If you take the elite of any group and transport them into the full spectrum of population of another group - it is only natural that the elite will excel.

My personal experience is that Yankee common sense is still a very positive differentiator. What I have seen as I have aged is that the young Indians and Asians are making the jump to combining their brain power with Yankee enginuity.

We as a society are far better for it.

Bob
