This is a listed company on KSE and so far has lagged the market, I happen to be a small shareholder.;

kse.com.pk

On <Pakistan would be hard-pressed to make anyone's list of best places to do business.

It's poor and saddled with a history of political instability and corruption. The U.S. government has warned Americans to stay away because of possible terrorist attacks. Blackouts are common in big cities.>

By the way my son ciisted Pakistan, these are his views on his blog..http://www.latif.blogspot.com/

Back from the Land of the Pure

Came back from Pakistan on Sunday... What a proud Islamic nation and as always I am stunned by the progress we have made as a country, Pakistanis are truly an impressive people if I may not say so. Absolutely amazing and beautiful country, enjoyed every minute of it and was deeply surprised by two things by the Pakistani tolerance for religious minorities (the Bahais are planning to build a House of Worship in Pakland, which I think will be the first in a Muslim country in 80 years) and my God we've become so pro-India.

This is good of course. We Pakistanis are pure and simple Hindo-philes, frankly I haven't seen any of the anti-India bigotry that you read about. Most Pakistanis are deeply enthusiastic about our Hindustani neighbours, not least because of Bollywood (I myself got hooked into it) and peace in our lifetime is more than a dream.

Courtesy of Niraj I read these series of articles (I'm linking the third part so the reader can click back to the first and second parts) on Azad Kashmir (or the uglier term Pakistan occupied Kashmir) by an Indian Muslim journalist. I agree with PresGen Mushie in that every region and sub-region of Kashmir should be given the right to decide it's own future, from Buddhist Ladakh to Shi'ite Gilgit and Hindu Udamphur. Of course I have to add that as a patriotic Pakistani I cannot bear to see any other outcome other than every Muslim region of Kashmir peacefully acceding to Pakistan as a result of the plebiscite. I was even getting riled up when being told in Islamabad by the former Sec. of Azad Kashmir (who was a Kashmiri from Srinagir but a co-religionist) that all Kashmiris should create an independent state. I was stunned by the hypocrisy of the argument that a Balti, who is supposedly being oppressed by the Pak-Punjabi establishment, should exchange that for being under the yoke of those cunning Sunni Muslims of the Vale of Kashmir.

But anyway I don't blame India in fact

JAI HIND

It's a beautiful country and my first post-Pakistan post is dedicated to eternal friendship to those feisty two siblings, India and Pakistan.

This is a highly exaggerated account,

I have just opened three new major flagships stores of Dunkin Donuts in Isb and Lahore, the opening was on 14th, we have sold as much Donut as we can produce, we run a three shift programme, however we do not have a stand by gas or electricity generator, not once so far our electric have gone, now these are hard facts, people love American products, yes terrorists for political mileage will go after Americans but overall US products are in great demand.

In last three months that I have been in Isb, I had one breakdown of electric in my home for 50 minutes, I also regularly visit Kyc and Lahore and I don't see endemic supply problems highlighted in this article, although outages are far more common but manageable, moreover Kse post 911 is the best performing index on face of this earth.; ggg
