he crawled into bed with a corrupt FBI agent very willingly.

Dale, you don't really believe that, do you? The indictment and the facts lead to the conclusion that AP and his unindicted co-conspirators through the RICO enterprise they hatched at the site and on boards for example the AP thread here corrupted the FBI agents, not the other way around. Or did Royer, Wingate et al come looking for the shortin' sheeple with FBI info all on their own?

I sincerely hope that today Tony is giving serious consideration to naming and describing each and every last one of the unindicted co-conspirators, because anyone who traded knows very well that there is just NO WAY that this could ever have been executed without the substantial willing help of quite a few "extras," now in attack mode here believing it's going to make the slightest difference to the authorities when it comes time to draft further criminal indictments.

I first ran into Tony over six years ago on the ALYD thread, very shortly after he began posting on SI (I know Pluvia encountered him a few weeks earlier on the SRCM thread). Although he had the same A@P alias, he never revealed who he really was. Suffice to say shortly thereafter he was outed and the rest is history.

Here's an early classic:

In the last 5 years I have taken well over 325 short positions and have lost on NONE of them...I do my research and spend my money in backing up what I say...that is something that few long position hoilders ever do they seem to be satiosfied with rumors, hype and holding each others hands when the shit hits the fan.. Truly amazing..

How manhy of you do-do brains have even been to the company and looked through the recievables and know what the cash burn rate is... anbd how many of you follow the offshore activity...you can sit there and berate me for giving you info that might saver you a few bucks but the truth is you all have no idea what you are talking about on October 16 this stock is going to get hammered like a nail..You heard it here.

As someone who has spent years analyzing and profiting form the short-selling of stock frauds, I have followed Tony's case with interest.

What really strikes me as ironic about this situation is that - ultimately - the information that Tony received from the FBI agent was - IMO - of little or no value. Tony was shooting against thinly traded stocks which were prima facie frauds and promotion schemes. Exposing their CEOs as criminals would do little, if anything to move the stock price.

It's too bad. I don't understand why he felt compelled to take sleazy shortcuts and resort to being a con artist. Truth be told, he could have probably ended up making a ton of money in this business if he played by the rules.
