What we don't need to do is throw the book at them now. I disagree. They should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. There are no mitigating circumstances in a situation like this. These are all people who knew better and chose to do it because they thought they could get away without real punishment and because they exalted their goals above the law. That is exactly the kind of thing that should be punished. Why should some ghetto kids be in the system for vandalism while people like that get slapped on the wrist? Nope.
