I didn't know that. I've never provided any race information when I've taken a medical test let alone observed any adjustment for it. And I've taken a lot of medical tests.

As far as medical diagnosis goes, doctors typically take a family history. This may be extended to tribe in some cases, such as diabetes, for example, which is more of a risk factor in certain tribes. I see that as an extension of family history, not an indicator that racial designation is significant, in general.
