Joe, While it would be nice to have both 2x1MB and 2x512K on desktop, AMD needs to set priorities, and I think server is the highest priority.

Yes, and rightfully so.

Given all the configuration of number of cores and cache sizes, 2x512KB is just another model that can be brought out anytime AMD puts some resources on it.

Yes, my problem is the timing, and the lack of 90nm capacity on AMD´s part, this year and up to the point whenever Chartered and Fab36 will ship substantial volumes into the marketplace (I would
guess not before H2 2006, and I´m still skeptical if the Chartered deal will work at all, still looks like UMC to me).
