thank you rrufff, you seem knowledgable about the law. I take some comfort from this comment "If the defense could show that each and every piece of information was available through google, then I doubt that part of the case would have continued." it's interesting that "the totality" is what counts - there's a lot of judgment involved, and therefore risk of injustice if that "totality" sometimes includes, which I guess it has historically, the person's race, religion, political persuasion, gender-identity, or side-of-market identification. Just a loose-lipped opinion there - release of pent up emotions!! thanks for reasoned conversation
