Sorry, I don't buy it, especially in this case.

MHO is that the analysts sincerely thought SNDK was going to miss, big time. Frankly, I can't remember the analysts being SO wrong, SO close to earnings, with any stock. It could be that SanDisk isn't doing a good job of managing street expectations (note the earnings miss and reaction last quarter). If you want a volatile stock that's a good thing; it you want a fairly valued stock it's a bad thing.

The analysts look like idiots (maybe they are)... and they will pay the price. But they will never give SanDisk the benefit of the doubt. They got burned, they won't like the company. Is that good or bad from a shareholder perspective?
