Sorry, J F, they were when I was a Freshman and Sophmore in college a couple decades and a half ago. But at one point I thought I was going to be a sociologist, so I took a couple classes before I got bored. I liked reading history and learning about how societies developed religion and taboos in order to have more cohesive units that could survive the world's dangers. Anyway, is it so hard to believe that American Indians and small tribal units practiced homosexuality to keep population sizes small to avoid starvation?

One more example that I bet you could find on the web is the one about the Greeks. They were notorious practicers of homosexuality and pedophilia. They actually had a practice where male children would sleep with an older man or patron as they were coming of age to learn the ropes. Then later they would go find a wife. Humans have had all sorts of weird practices over the ages, but most of them had to do with changing societal norms, not genetics.
