Yeah, he's biased. So what? 99.9% of all the posters on SI are biased. At least David Ray is informed as well as biased, which is more than you can say for a whole lot of other people here. If you don't like what he says, why not counter his informed opinion with your own. That is, unless you don't have an opinion that is informed.
