Hi cosmic, I am glad you came over. That is great. It is a nice thread with nice people. No needless needling and general meanness. I seen that Boeing announcement and couldn't believe it. The last bastion of American technology and manufacturing skills, that has for MANY years helped the balance of trade, sent overseas.. I just can't believe it.. I never really trusted Boeing after they broke the company up and moved out of Seattle to emphasize "defense" spending, IMO. More money in making that stuff that blows up after one trip than a good solid airliner that lasts for 25-30 years and makes 50,000 or so trips without trouble.. BTW, we flew in an 'old' (could tell by the interior and general appearance <g> and the fact they are not made anymore) 727 in the Andes last year and it was just great making those high altitude landings and take offs. A great plane.. And so it goes, when all the "good patriots", NOT, are in charge..:( m
