While we are on it -- I don't like what has been done to the term liberal -- I'd like to get back to the old definition. When liberal meant allowing the greatest freedom by restricting the reach of government into our lives -- when it meant allowing and not being afraid of the widest discourse on any topic.

The term conservative has likewise been severely changed and abused -- since when is it really conservative to borrow boatloads of money from foreigners to fund imperial boondoggles??

With all the labels and such it's no wonder the nightly news is a wasteland and no real debate takes place in political life any more.
