Elroy, What's the value of your sarcasm?

Because you keep ignoring Israel's reasons for annexing parts of Jordan, Egypt, and Syria in the 1967 war. Israel wants a guarantee of security, since they had to fight pretty hard to exist in the first place.

Sure, Arabs are pissed off that Israel exists where Arabia once existed before the 1940's, they're pissed off that Israel now occupies Gaza and West Bank, and they're pissed off that those Arabs who are living there are living under brutal conditions. But my whole point is why such hatred is fostered today, in other words nurtured and exploited, not how such hatred sprung up in the first place. Such hatred is a wonderful way for the Arab power-mongers to keep restricting freedoms and opportunities, then blame those problems on Israel and of course, America.

Prosperous people won't assume that violence and "jihad" is the only solution to their problems. That's why a free and prosperous Iraq is much less likely to threaten Israel.
