Drew Brees might be available.
That would be a good pickup.

Nall is an interesting prospect. He's not a good practice guy but he can chuck the ball. It's not always pretty but he gets the job done. Regardless of whether Favre retires I wouldn't take a QB in the first round unless he was the best player. Is it Alex Smith out of Utah? Him I'd take but I wouldn't be too quick to bet a first round pick on a position of need. That always results in disaster.

On a side note - I don't think Favre wants to retire. I think he feels on the spot to retire because of family and his wife's situation. I really believe Favre is a guy who could be effective until he's 40+. I think he's mentally tired right now and thats a tough spot to be in. If I were the Packers I'd say if you need to take a year off - no problem! If you don't need a year off but need to be closer to the family - no problem - We'll practice in Mississippi. I know that sounds nuts but we OWE that to Brett Favre! He doesn't owe us anything - we owe him. Look at the Pats....great Team right? What a show of solidarity it would be for the team to sacrifice a football season away from their families in an effort to support a guy who has done it for them! I know it sounds crazy but I know how to push the right buttons to get a team fired up. Something like this would do it and it would send a message to both Favre and the team that we're in this together.
