Back about 20 years ago, I read a study in which patients with warts were treated with plain rubbing alcohol, but told that the treatment was some high powered substance, proven to remove warts. The result was a very high success ratio. At about the same time, someone very close to me, whom I believed to be quite trusting, even naive or gullible, had a long standing wart that never seemed to get better. Well, I did my own little experiment and it worked within a few days. Instead of doing what I did in life, I should have marketed it as "RRUFFF's De Wart," and lived off those residuals.

I am not sure why anyone would test a cold treatment that is a holistic remedy. I am sure that this remedy would not help me. Why, because I don't believe in it, never will. I have this little PTA critical thinking voice that talks to me. It says. Critical Voice: Yardslave... YS: Yes voice. CV: Why are you looking at those holistic medicines. YS: Because they might help, Doesn't look like they can hurt. CV: God your stupid, Don't you know anything. There is nothing in that remedy that will do one wit worth of good for a cold. YS: Why do you say that? CV: Your asking me? You’re dumber than I thought. OK. Lets go through this cold thing one more time. What causes a cold? YS: I virus. CV: Very Good. and what kills a virus? YS: My immune system. CV: And what in that stupid little remedy is going to help your immune system. YS: I dunno, I guess vitamins...!? CV: If you ate right you already get all those vitamins you Moron. YS You don't have to call me names...So. CV: So you are throwing your money away. YS: What about the placebo affect. CV That would be effect...You are not going to get one, because I am here to tell you that it will never work. YS: OH.... CV: Your sick because you eat to much, sleep to little, and work to hard, and if you don't change you are going to be a lot sicker. YS: OH...you have a nice day also. But hey, as long as they remedy doesn't hurt you, and you believe in it...what the hey...My vote is that the remedy works. Won't work for me, but it will for some...What difference does it make. As long as it doesn't kill you or turn you knees into jello, what difference does it make?
