So you are saying that the people in the government are scamming the public, on an accounting basis, on the SS insurance fund. I agree.

Social Security, as a stand alone program, is a success (with minor adjustments, as anticipated). The problem is the "Enron accounting" by our politicians.

It then seems logical to solve the problem (political scams) rather than one of the symptom (SS).

You are not a dumb follower of the political rhetoric. If you want to scrap SS, say so, don't make excuses. SS is a victim of the budget morass, not a cause.
