Tenchusatsu, Sorry, I don't have a link, but it's pretty clear to me that defense is NOT 1/3 of our budget. It is not now, but it used to be that high, and before that, it was as high as 1/2 of the federal budget. In this light of this , the idea that the federal budget deficit is caused by this ever shrinking portion of it sounds laughable. Yet, it is one of the urban myth that liberals are required to believe, and we have been hearing this from them for decades. Joe
