Scarborough (I believe) claimed that there a couple of more renegade deficit hawks elected in the last cycle, but, unfortunately, I think the GOP congressional leadership has tasted the drug of patronage, pork barrel spending in the 99/00 cycle (the "new economy"), when all the rules broke down, and now they are just as addicted to spending as the Dems they replaced in 94. Dang! Your mind is like a black hole! It couldn't be that the GOPers came to the pork spending all on their own but no, Dems had to be at the bottom of it. Have you thought of therapy?
