Thanks for bringing CWPC to my attention. I had no idea they existed. I'm still not sure if they are for real.

The oil sands deposits in Western Saskatchewan are not economic, to my knowledge. I don't know how well they have been drilled, but the industry certainly doesn't value it highly. Judging by the low property value shown in CWPC's recent quarterly report, I'd say CWPC agrees.

The oil shale project in Eastern Saskatchewan is interesting, but again, how do you get the oil out of shale economically? Shale is not sand. The hydrocarbon analysis is very unusual. It is very light (half monoaromatic) and is completely unlike the bitumen in the oil sands. I wonder if they spilled some solvent on the sample before NCUT got it. ;)

The company has a long history of destroying shareholder value between occasional promotions. Maybe they are getting ready for the next promotion cycle, or maybe the new faces will actually try to make a real company out of it. I don't know.
