Henry,

I live in Oregon. Ducks, geese and doves aren't falling out of the sky in my neighborhood. And Keiser, OR is hundreds of miles from Vancouver, BC.

You may be a harbinger of things to come. But you're damaging your credibility by flying off the handle before the facts are known.

There are dozens of wild animal illnesses across North America. None have been related conclusively to the avian flu problem in Southeast Asia. It's good to get your facts straight before declaring that "the sky is falling".

I'm mostly inclined to accept that you're right to be concerned. I've circulated some of your concerns to biologists in our region who would be interested and who would be our first line of information about an outbreak of avian flu.

And I'm waiting for more information and confirmation before I become a hysteric.

Oh no! They say bird flu may kill many people.
