your position made no sense to me.. to buy down a house and elect to pay taxes vs moving your ira account to a tax free tax account and pay taxes .. is same thing imo. rules will change. sorry if i offended you but when you came back again, it appeared to me you had sour grapes and were not coming from a position of academic interest. I am sure we can find many tax allowance that we given and later taken away for one reason or another. for example bush latest tax reductions. if only we withheld withdrawals from ira's until bush cut tax brackets.
